An E-2 visas available to teachers, who have
the qualifications specified by the Minister of justice
English at foreign language institutions, schools of
elementary school and higher or any other related organization
or company providing a language program. An E-2 Visa
allows a teacher to stay for one year and option to
extend their stay. Only if employed with proper authorizations.
F-1
Visa are for foreigners wishing to stay in Korea for
family or household affairs. Usually, "Kyopos,"ethnic
Koreans are allowed to apply for F-1 Visas.
F-1
Visas are categorized in different status: -A person
wishing to stay in Korea in order to help domestic affairs
at a embassy or consulate -A person wishing to stay
with family and relatives having A-1, A-2, A-3 qualifications
or having permanent residency status abroad -A person
wishing to stay in Korea without doing anything or employment
-Anyone who has not be granted a F-2 Visa
A
F-1 Visa allows an individual to stay in Korea for 2
years with options for extension.
As
of December 2,1999 the Immigration Offices under the
directive of Ministry of Justice started issuing F-4
visas. As a result, it is now very easy for Korean-Americans
("Kyopos")
Prior
to issuance of F-4 (Korean-Americans), found it very
difficult to maintain legal residency. Many people entered
Korea on a tourist visa and left the country to renew
their period of stay every three months, a costly and
bothersome procedure. Usually a person will pass through
the immigration check at Fukuoka and back just to get
a stamp on their passport in order to prolong their
stay in Korea.
The visa
process start once we have received the proper documentations
asked for below. Then, we will fax or email you the
contract. After you have reviewed it. Send it back to

Upon being
contracted by a Foreign Language School in Korea, you
will need to obtain a visa sponsorship (E-2) work visa
from the Korean Consulate.
The School
will start the visa sponsorship in Korea, on your behalf.
Once your visa has been approved in Korea, a Visa Issuance
Letter will be obtained by the owner of the institute.
The time between notification of your hire and receipt
of your Visa Issuance letter can vary, usually taking
10 to 15 days.
Once you
receive your Visa Issuance Letter, you will then need
to submit the following to the Korean consulate by mail
or in person:

Letter *Completed Visa Application *Two Photo
(passport size) *Actual Passport *Visa Application
Fee (May Vary)
Most consulates
will process your visa in a day or two. The Korean
Consulate will stamp your passport with your visa and
send it back to you. Then everything is all set.
